Syndicate Membership – Season 2010
Syndicate Membership offers total freedom to fish any day, Monday to Saturday. The only requirement is that Members need to designate their preference for either Catch-&-Release or Catch-and-Take.
For Catch-and-Take Members, a Season Limit of fish taken applies.

Catch-&-Release Members enjoy complete freedom to enjoy their fishing, subject only to some commonsense self-discipline. Fish caught and released are naturally harder to catch again, so clearly – if a large number of Trout are released on any one day – then this could affect the fishing for others the following day. For this reason, it would be totally unacceptable for anyone to catch and release, say, a dozen fish in any day. We would expect Members to restrict themselves to perhaps five to nine fish in any one day, subject to how often they attend.
Similarly, if Members wish
to take the occasional Trout for the table then, again, some commonsense restraint
is required, both in the size and the number of fish taken. If a large fish
is particularly wanted for an occasion, then that is perfectly acceptable, but
otherwise it is preferred that smaller fish are taken.

If water temperatures should exceed 20oC during the height of the Season, then different catch-and-release arrangements may be necessary.
Group Days
The only Limitation for Members are the pre-booked Group Days. These are never more than one per week and, where possible, are never on the same day of the week. These days are all booked before the commencement of the Season. Members each have their own list of dates and so it is a simple task to fish around them. The Group Days complement the Syndicate Membership perfectly, because they are catch-and-take only, and so they provide the essential turnover of Trout that enables the majority of our Members who prefer to release fish to continue enjoying superb sport.

Guests
Members may bring a Guest any time. In the case of Catch-and-Take Members, the Guest will share the Member’s Season Limit of Trout, or alternatively the Member can bring a paying C-&-T Guest at £60 for the day with a limit of four fish.
For Catch-&-Release Members who fish with complete freedom, there obviously needs to be some restraint regarding Guests. It is suggested that Members might restrict themselves to three or four Guest days per Season, depending upon how often they themselves fish. As an alternative, a Member is welcome to bring a paying C&R Guest at £50 for the day.
