In the ideal world, it would
be nice to fish when the conditions were good, or when it particularly suited
you, and this is what we try to offer.
Members
have a list of the pre-booked Group Days before the start of the Season and
– apart from those days – they can fish as and when they like, Monday
to Saturday inclusive. There is obviously the risk that all the Members could
decide to fish on the same day, and it would indeed be a fiasco, but the fact
is that our maximum number of Members attending on any day so far has been 6,
and that was a one-off. The usual day is 0 – 3 Rods, and so the system
works well.
The Membership can choose to fish a Catch & Release system, or a Catch-and-Take system, and the only restrictions are a Season Limit of Trout taken.
C&R Members should remove their first fish on each visit, and then subsequently may catch and release another 4 fish only on a given day. A C&R Member wishing to continue fishing on that same day can do so by removing the next fish, and then catching and releasing a further 3 fish. The Member could continue if required on the day, provided that this 1-to-3 ratio of fish removed-to-released is maintained. In this way, some turnover of Trout is maintained.
The season Limit of Trout
caught and removed is 22 for a Full C&R Member, and 15 for a Half-Member.
The Membership Fee for the 2008 Season is £680 for Full- and £480
for Half-Membership.
For Catch-and-Take Members, the system is far simpler:- there is only a Season Limit of 60 fish for a Full Member (for £880) and a Season Limit of 40 fish for a Half Member (£640).
All Members can bring a Guest who can share the Member’s Season Limit. We like Members to let us know when they are bringing a Guest, just in case some-one else is doing the same thing on that day.
